Giving Back - the Educator Edition
From small business shout outs, to local partnerships, honing in and shouting out great people doing great things in the community is one of the ways we love supporting others. At OHM, education is a major way that we mentor and elevate our own team and therefore, we appreciate how educators pour into today’s youth. Teachers play a major role in the health of each and every community.
This past November, we decided to focus on the unsung heroes building up the next generation- educators! From classroom teachers to administrative staff and building services - the “Thank You Educators" drawing was an overwhelming success. The campaign garnered an incredible response, receiving over 300 nominations across the entire portfolio of hotels. The winner, elementary school teacher, Jennifer A. of Gwinnett County, GA, received a complimentary night's stay at Hotel Clermont in Atlanta, GA, a dining credit to Tiny Lou’s, complimentary valet service, exclusive merchandise and gifts, a $50 Amazon gift card, and more. It was an exciting time!

Giving Kitchen (Atlanta, GA)
A favored organization and partnership of Tiny Lou’s in Atlanta, GA - The Giving Kitchen champions the support of food service workers during times of need. As part of their efforts, Tiny Lou’s Executive Pastry Chef Charmain Ware participated in their annual Team Hide fundraising event. The Giving Kitchen’s mission is to provide emergency assistance to food service workers through financial support and a network of community resources. If you or someone you know is a food service worker working in a restaurant, food truck, catering company, coffee shop, concessions, bar or taproom who needs financial assistance due to illness, injury, death of an immediate family member, or housing disaster like flood or fire, please ask for help at thegivingkitchen.org/help.
TN Tuesdays (Nashville, TN)
"TN Tuesdays" became a catalyst for unity and support in the Nashville area and beyond that forged meaningful connections in our community. By actively promoting and showcasing local businesses and distilleries, we were able to recognize the importance of a thriving local economy. To take things a step further, each month's featured distillery selected a charity of their choice and donated a percentage of their proceeds.

With a commitment to giving back through conscientious efforts, our decision to shop local and eat seasonally demonstrates our pledge to supporting the community and local purveyors. Across our portfolio, our chefs source ingredients that keep dollars in the local economy. By choosing to source directly from local farmers, we not only ensure the freshness and quality of the ingredients but also contribute to the sustainability and growth of each community.
